stupid melbourne weather

i've had my first taste of true melbourne weather. as i was walking home last night it was 11.8 degrees and the wind was terrifying. i was nearly in tears from the cold and the fear. i started calling people to ditract myself, but all i ended up doing was leaving voice mail messages complaining about how cold i was, until my fingers became too numb to press the buttons. how the hell am i going to cope when it gets even colder?

today, on the advice of my workmates, (advice that terrified me) I'm wearing shirt, jumper, coat, pants, knee high socks, boots, and a head scart, and in my bag i have a raincoat, beanie and gloves. hopefully that should get me through the afternoon.

Liz has had MORE bad financial luck. her bank account was frozen because some arsehole was trying to syphen funds out of it. apparently they somehow scanned her key card but their bank caught them. the whole thing doesn't make much sense to me, but the outcome is that liz has all this money sitting in her bank account, but her bank won't let her accss any because of some stupid reason until she receives her new card and pin number in the mail in a week and a half.

we need some more powerful money magic for liz, and fast!
