recovering

it takes a long time to post 20 photos when you're chatting on msn (to 2 people, and struggling not to get them confused) and chatting on myspace, and checking out that apparently we're famous, and have been mentioned on kate miller-heidke's fan forum. i think we should have our own fan forum.

anyway, check the pics below - we had a wonderful weekend with kate's band, as always, and as a special treat leanne, her manager, who we both adore, came with them this time. we've also fallen in love with kate's new back up singer sallie, but more on that another time.

right now, we're still recovering.

how the hell do they do that night after night, and not just collapse? it can't be that liz and i are old, because we're still younger than half the band. dammit, we're clearly out of practice.

we've had our last full day together with grandpa, and we've realised that the goodbyes have started. the last week in any place is difficult, because no matter how much we're looking forward to what's coming, there are always people we won't be seeing again, or at least not for a very long time, and there's always so many "last times" - you know, last coffee at one of the two decent local cafes, last gym class, last yoga class, last day with grandpa, etc. it's a bit of an emotional overload, especially after just having seen our brisbane friends, and heading on to see our african friends, and melbourne friends, and knowing that home is so close.

oh, and the last library books, which i have to remember to return.

i'm guessing, yet again, this is going to be a rough week - particularly as we have to find a way to motivate ourselves to pack everything again, and be ruthless about the charity pile - which is double the size so far of the melbourne charity pile, so i'm quite pleased with that.

ok, my eyes are going square after so many hours sitting here, so i'm off to read about and procrastinate about packing.

hope all our beautiful friends in cyber land are having a wonderful day, and see you all soon.

Hello my lovely ladies! It has been a while since I have left a comment so I figure that now is a good a time as any. I am loving all of your photos and logs - it looks like you are having a fab time still. I can't wait to actually sit down with the two of you and go through all of your pics - no doubt you have thousands by now! All is well over here - it is beginning to get a bit cold, dark and rainy though. It is going to be dark when I go to and come how from work soon - urgh! Sooo not impressed! I am planning on doing some trips though which is great and will break up the inescapeable crap weather. I have just booked a country cottage with some mates from work, am going to Amsterdam in December, Bath for the Christmas markets, maybe Denver to go skkiing and other cool things like boat parties and 1920's themed dance parties. I went to the Kandinsky exhibition at the TATE modern which was brilliant and am going to get to the David Hockney show at the NAtional Portrait Gallery when it isn;t quite so busy. WOrk is cool - am going to be devastated to say goodbye to all of the wonderful friends that I have made here but I guess that just goes with the territory. Love and miss you both and glad to see that you are having a great time. Hugs, kisses and oodles of love, Sar x

yeah, we have around 10000 photos at the moment - really need to take most of them off the hard drive of my poor computer! that's a job for when we get back to ocean shores and i have time to sit and do it.

liz says "hello" in a cutsie little voice. she's not capable of real speech yet because she's "hungover as shit". i'm luckily not. we stayed at our beautiful friend kelly's place last night and had a ball hanging with her crazy friends. gareth cooked for us! mmmn, yummy.
