Send us your tiara photos
As many of you would know, we have a new years tradition which involves frocking up and getting as many people as possible to wear gorgeous tiaras, particularly on stage, if they're performers. the tiara monster gets bigger every year, and this year it was awesome, but we have a problem - we really want to put the photos on our website, but we're missing some! all our gorgeous princesses were too beautiful to be forgotten, so we truly need to immortalise everyone. when this tradition really spreads, you can say "we were there - look, here's the evidence. we knew liz and liv BEFORE THEY WERE FAMOUS, and we were part of the tiara tradition almost FROM THE BEGINNING, hurrah." We know that these shots really aren't that great, and that other people have much much better photos (like the version of that first photo where you can actually see scotty's head), but we refuse to delete these till the others have arrived in our inbox.
send us your photos to fisher_olivia@hotmail.com
we really want to get at least one shot of every tiara-wearing person we can. as soon as we receive enough we'll put them into a gallery. thanks gorgeous people

Hi Liv and Liz,
well i lost the little card u gave me with the web address for this blog (at woodford, ofcourse) but hooray it didn't take me that long 2 find you anyway!
it sounds like u girls r already having a magical adventure, which is what it's all about. I love ur blog, even though so far there is only one post-woodford entry! I truly wish for Liz to conquer her fear of painting just as I am attempting to conquer my creative fears! I've been reading an... interesting... book called "Women who run with the wolves" which, so far, is all about the need for us chiccies to get back in touch with and allow our inner WILD WOMAN to express herself! I imagine that your wild women are going to take over on your great aussie tour!
I wanted to tell you how glad I am to have met you both before you left (even though Olivia and I had really met some years ago whilst stage managing). Woodford was kinda a personal challenge for me this last time 'round and on the one night I was about to let it get the better of me and have a good ole sook in my tent who came along to chew my ear off about a spider with personality in the chai tent? I was far too cheerful for any tears after that quirky tale, thanks Olivia! Plus, I even felt positive enough to enter into a poetry competition that night and I came third, so I think I owe you! If it weren't for your good karma, I could have spent my night in my tent sulking and drinking/spilling bottles of hot white wine.
I also want to thank you both again for taking me with you to the water hole that day, the first day of the new year! Woodford minus the water hole is just not the same and if it weren't for your kindness, I would have missed out!
That day we also discussed someone who I will refer to as The Smiling Player, I hope you know who I mean! I'm not sure why, exactly, but I felt quite confronted when I realised that Liv and I had The Smiling Player in common, even though I had suspected it all week. It was quite a jolt to the system- somewhat unpleasant- to discover that my feelings were not unique, although I should have thoroughly comprehended this obvious fact of life right from the beginning.
However, I have since reflected on that day and have reached new perspectives. I figure that if someone as amazing as Olivia can share, in some sense, my experience, then I clearly don't own the experience and I should just let go! Or at least not hold on so tightly. Holding on is only keeping me back! So thanks to both of you for prying into that little nook with me!
Anyway, I just wanted 2 share that with you. You are both magical people and I can't wait to hear more about your journey throughout the nation! I hope you meet lots of beautiful souls.
Lotsa luv,
mia (from woodford folk fest!)
ps. i think i have some piccies of the band performing in their tiaras
mia - I just want to thank you for your comment. Liz and I were talking after the festival about how much we liked you and enjoyed your company.
i hope you too can learn to face your fears - remember, whatever a person feels is natural, and it's their right to allow themselves to feel what is true for them. the conversation about the smiling player was actually very difficult for me but i think i really gained a lot from it. i appreciate your honesty and your ear.
when we return to brisbane, i certainly hope you will become a good friend - i so enjoy your company. call me anytime on 0411 207 063.
liv
p.s. liz sends her love and we hope to hear from you soon
